Risa Binder is sort of my soul sister. We both love sparkly dresses, smiling and really good songs about break-ups. Risa's energy is infectious and her new album, Paper Heart, is a direct reflection of that. She sings the songs we all need in our life. The stand out song for me on her record is, Uncovered, her sweet voice and even sweeter lyrics create a hit!

Yesterday I showed you my interview with Kate Earl. Her newest record, Stronger, features an insightful and delicious rootsy single, One Woman Army. At first, I thought she was singing about relationships and never giving up on someone you love. After watching the touching video, it seems that Kate's lyrics have a wider scope. As a single mom, Kate told me it can be challenging to balance her career and her son. But after meeting her adorable little one and watching her film this soundcheck session for us, I pretty much believe that Kate has in fact mastered it all.

I am obsessed with Kate Earl. The songs off her newest record, Stronger, are a collection of rootsy, American pop rock that begs to be compared to Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks. Her Filipino, Dutch and Welsh background give her a standout beauty that the Victoria's Secret Models would be jealous of. Plus, watching her interact with her adorable son on set, completely melted my heart.

Yesterday you met the classical, folk, sister act amazingness that is Von Grey. When the girls came to chat with me about their EP, they were adorable, relatable and showed a passion for their sound and songwriting far beyond their years. At the same time, they were totally the goofy teenagers they should be; we laughed about hair and crushes and, of course, I gave all the girls nicknames.
