Lisbeth Salander is a strong, smart, self-assured woman, but thanks to her penchant for leather, mohawks and piercings, the last thing I'd ever call her is a style icon.

But H&M is betting that after audiences get an eyeful of the hacker in December's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, they'll be clamoring to look like they just hopped off a motorcycle after pulling an all-nighter breaking through high level encryptions. That's why the retailer has teamed up with Trish Summerville, the costume designer on Dragon, to create a line inspired by Lisbeth.

"We put a lot of aged-in washes and finishes, which goes along the lines of the Salander character," Summerville told WWD. "In the film, her clothes are quite extreme. They're really worn down, they're dirty. So for us, it was taking that kind of concept and giving it more of a realistic fashion feel."

The collection, which hits stores on December 14, will include homages to Lisbeth's piercings with stud-adorned platform wedges, "tribal-style earrings" ($3.95), hoodies ($29.95), leather boots ($59.95), and a biker-style leather jacket that comes in multiple colors ($199).

Watch a behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot, revealing the clothes and styling, which is very street -- as in "urchin" and "walker."
