The swimmer's appeal on women in particular was not lost on Women's Health, who grilled the Olympic champion on everything from his own personal style to what looks he loves on a woman.

How important is fashion to Lochte?

Not surprisingly, very.

"Really important -- it's how your personality comes out. I don't have a set style, but I try not to dress like everyone else," he says.

On what he thinks women look hottest in?

"One of my long-sleeve button-down shirts and that's all. The second sexiest thing: white jeans."
