Boy band fashion was not exactly known for being subtle (who can forget Justin Timberlake's cornrows?!), and now the older, more wiser, members of the Backstreet Boys are admitting their biggest fashion regrets from the late '90s golden era.

"We wore some sucky crap!," Brian Littrell recently told Refinery29.com, getting straight to the point.

And it turns out that all five members agree on the one outfit that still makes them cringe today -- a particularly ridiculous pair of overalls.

"Tommy Hilfiger overalls that were bright blue and bright white...," Kevin Richardson admits.

Only to make matters worse, they weren't even real Tommy Hilfiger -- they were knock-offs.

Behold their conversation:

A.J.: "They weren't Tommy Hilfiger, though."
Kevin: "They were supposed to be Tommy Hilfiger overalls, they were made out of parachute-pant material. Those were pretty crazy looking. They were knock-offs that were supposed to be Tommy Hilfiger."
A.J.: "They were Tommy with one M. Tomy."
Nick: "This was horrible. The same thing, overalls as well, but they were actual leather. They weren't patent leather; they were leather. And we wore them while we were over in Japan. They were the hottest things. So, as far as any malfunctions or the worst thing to wear, it was complete leather on stage. It was a bad idea."
Howie: "We used to wear clothes that were like three sizes too big for us, always."

And let's not forget ... Brian used to one-strap it.

Though Brian, Kevin, Howie, Nick and A.J. are now trading on their '90s nostalgia with a just-released Old Navy commercial where they sing their 1997 hit Everybody (Backstreet's Back). Check it out below.

The reunited members also confirmed that they're currently recording a new album!

"We're in the studio now. We're going to try to finish it up this year and the first thing next year, we'll have it ready," Kevin says.

BSB Forever.
