By JACKIE WILLIS

Perhaps if Jon Hamm was wearing yellow, he would have taken home an Emmy. The winners in the categories Best Actress in a Drama, Best Actress in a Miniseries/Movie and Best Actress in a Comedy all wore the sunny color, making yellow the winning shade of Sunday night.
Julie Bowen, 42, won for her role in the comedy Modern Family, and showed up to the show in a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown that she paired with Swarovski jewels.
Later on in the night, Julianne Moore, 51, won for her portrayal of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin in the HBO film Game Change. She too chose to wear yellow, stepping out in a flowing Dior Haute Couture style.

Then there was Claire Danes, 33, who won for her dramatic role in the Showtime series Homeland. The mommy-to-be chose a yellow Lanvin gown in an attempt to cover up her baby bump.
No doubt, these ladies made the Emmys a little brighter, but what was your favorite winning yellow gown? Let us know, below.
