Jennifer Lawrence has officially hit the high-fashion big leagues.

It was just announced that The Hunger Games star is the new face of Christian Dior, specifically the brand's Miss Dior bag, joining the ranks of fellow Dior beauties Marion Cotillard, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.

According to Women's Wear Daily, she will appear in the new Spring/Summer 2013 Miss Dior bag advertising campaigns.

"It's such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion," Jennifer says about her first luxury fashion campaign. "I'm so excited to be working with the fashion house and wear the new creations by Raf Simons. His most recent Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections glamorously capture the modern era at Dior."

Jennifer's Dior endorsement is not necessarily a shocker to fashion insiders -- speculation about her involvement with the fashion house started at the Toronto Film Festival in September, where she made headlines in a tie-dyed Dior gown at The Silver Linings Playbook premiere for being one of the first few celebrities to get their hands on Dior head creative director Raf Simons's debut couture collection.

Jennifer also follows in the fashionable footsteps of her fellow young A-listers who represent high-fashion labels, such as Kristen Stewart who's the face of Balenciaga, and Emma Watson who famously fronted Burberry in 2009.
