Helena Bonham Carter had fans doing double takes at the 56th BFI London Film Festival Saturday, where the famously eccentric dresser showed up looking about as conventionally fashionable as it gets for her.

Helena, 46, stunned in a purple off-the-shoulder number, soft makeup and elegant earrings, which she paired with simple black heels.

....No mismatched shoes this time!

"All I'm into is dressing up. I love dressing up. It's like what we do for our job, get paid to dress up. So I carry on doing it in life, and I do put on a bit of clothing, and the clothing changes how I feel," she told Interview magazine in May.

Let's hope this seriously sexy phase stays!
