Paul McCartney is pitching in to help Shine on Scotland, a charity established by teenager Ryan McLaughlin to raise awareness of the importance of taking Vitamin D to battle against Multiple Sclerosis.
McCartney is donating a signed guitar for a charity auction to raise money for the organization. The bid is currently at $1500, and the online auction is running until May 31.
Shine on Scotland was started in 2009 after Ryan McLaughlin's mother was diagnosed with MS. The organization's goals in combating the disease include providing Vitamin D to all of Scotland's children and pregnant mothers and to run a public awareness campaign to inform the public about the benefits of Vitamin D in relation to Multiple Sclerosis.
