Good Karma: Kobe Bryant Reaches Out To Homeless Youth
Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa have formed the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the lives of young people and families in need.
The organization's first initiative will focus on youth homelessness in Los Angeles by raising funds to support organizations and programs that work directly with homeless youth and families. The programs they will support help provide permanent housing and resources for education and career development.
When discussing why he and his wife started this organization, Bryant said "On my way to games, I noticed children and families living on the streets blocks away from where I play and it didn't sit well with me. I wanted to help make a difference in homelessness and what better place to start than in my own backyard."
