Only a few weeks before his brother Prince William is set to be married, Prince Harry is trekking to the North Pole on an expedition to
raise money for charity. The expedition includes four injured soldiers who hope
to be the first amputees to reach the North Pole.
The Walking With The Wounded expedition had been delayed
after bad weather had kept the explorers grounded until Monday, April 4.
After the weather improved, Prince Harry said on Walking With The Wounded's blog, "All the boys are really excited to finally be going; we've been
sitting around here for far too long now. Can't wait to get on the ice with the
The expedition is raising money for the charities Help for
Heroes and Skill Force, and has raised over ₤400,000 so far, but is looking to
raise ₤2 million by the end of the trip.
