A charity auction for Princess Beatrice of York's exclusive hat she wore during the royal wedding has just just ended since being introduced on May 12.
The head piece, which started at a £5,000 bid with the help of UNICEF, fetched an astounding £81,100 at the end of the auction and the stylish monarch couldn't be happier with the end result.
"I cannot believe the amazing response to the hat," Princess Beatrice said. "I am so grateful to all those who have taken the time to participate in the auction, because their support will make a real difference. This has been such a wonderful project to be a part of."
Bids came from all over the world including the US, UK, Canada and Sweden. Proceeds from the auction are set to go to UNICEF and Children In Crisis, an organization founded by Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, dedicated to educating children in impoverished countries.
