Michael J. Fox is teaming up with Nike and eBay to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation by bringing a famous movie prop to life for a charity fundraiser.
Nike has created a limited run of the MAG shoes made famous by Fox's character Marty McFly in Back To The Future Pt. II. The MAG shoes will be available for auction on eBay and the proceeds will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation's mission to cure Parkinson's.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin and his wife Anne Wojcicki, co-founder of 23andMe, a personal genetics company, will contribute as well by matching the net proceeds from sale of the Nike MAG shoes as well as up to $50 million in funds raised by the Foundation until December 31, 2012.
