A reality show taping turned all too real for Bristol Palin a few days ago in West Hollywood, CA. Surrounded by cameras, the former Dancing With the Stars finalist held on for dear life as she rode the mechanical bull at Hollywood hotspot Saddle Ranch on the famed Sunset Strip. When she lost her grip and tumbled off, an onlooker taunted her with comments.
A man, now identified by The Hollywood Reporter as talent manager Stephen Hanks, heckled her, shouting, "Did you ride Levi [Johnston] like that?" and "Your mother's a wh***." Clearly upset about the R-rated remarks, the 20-year-old single mother confronted the nay-sayer.
When the man called Sarah Palin the "devil" and "evil" to Bristol's face, the loyal daughter quipped, "Is it because you're a homosexual?" The offended 47-year-old man and Bristol continued to exchange crude words before Bristol stormed out of the establishment as she was being called "white trash from Wasilla."
A rep from Bristol is now on damage control, telling E! News, "She was approached in a confrontational and inappropriate manner when two men aggressively shouted expletives aimed at her in reference to her mother."
"Bristol responded to the unprovoked verbal assault by calmly standing her ground and defending her family," the rep said on behalf of the star. "The situation ended with no incident and accusing her of homophobia is completely unfounded and totally misstates her views."
Bristol is currently filming scenes for an upcoming BIO Channel reality show with Kyle and Chris Massey. Watch the war of words here, but beware of some indecent language.
