Say What ...?! Anderson Cooper's Fecal Phone

Oh, sh*t! For Wednesday’s episode of Anderson, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, tested the bacteria found in public places around New York City. But the top doc didn’t just stop there – he also tested some of Anderson Cooper’s personal items: his glasses, camera bag and his beloved cell phone. And guess what he found???? FECAL BACTERIA! That's some serious poopy poop, you guys!
So does Anderson Cooper poop on his phone!??? Is Anderson Cooper's cell phone the sh*t? Oh my gosh, is Anderson Cooper a scatman?!
After swabbing Anderson's cell phone, Dr. Gupta says Anderson’s phone had fecal strep on it. Gupta joked, that he was previously an avid borrower of Anderson’s cell phone, but now he won’t be asking for it anymore. Cooper joked back, "I maybe poop on my cell phone once in awhile," and was greeted by a round of applause from his eager audience. The doc then advised the newsman to leave his cell phone outside of the bathroom. Good idea!
It’s a pretty surprising discovery, and a pretty gross one too – so it’s nice Anderson had a sense of humor about the potentially embarrassing find.
But oooh man, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve absent mindedly brought my phone into the bathroom (sometimes a gal has to text while putting on make up!), or how many times I've semi (okay fine … rather) drunkenly placed my phone on top of the metallic-box-toilet-paper-thingy-dealio in a public restroom, clearly a bad decision on my part that I am now soberly regretting. Maybe I should get my phone swabbed? Or maybe in this case ignorance is bliss?! Either way I’m currently rubbing down my phone with the bottle of Purell on my desk.
