'Glee' Star Charice Comments on Father's Death

The estranged father of singer Charice was found stabbed to death with an ice pick in his native Philippines, reports the Associated Press.

Investigators say the killing appeared "random," occurring at a store south of Manila, when he accidentally brushed against a drunken man.

A 20,000 pesos ($470) reward has been offered for leads that bring the murder suspect into police custody.

Dubbed by Oprah as the "most talented girl in the world," nineteen-year-old Charice Pempengco is famed in Asia and had a recurring role on Glee.

In the aftermath of this horrific tragedy, Charice cancelled the rest of her tour dates in order to mourn with her family. In addition, she released the following statement. "I want to thank my fans from around the world for their support and love at this very difficult time for my family and I," the singer said. "We are all very sad about this terrible tragedy."
