Lindsay Lohan Sentenced to 30 Days in Jail

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 30 days in jail Wednesday for violating terms of her probation and was ordered to surrender to authorities by November 9.

Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner imposed the jail time after Lohan failed to complete a community service assignment at a downtown Los Angeles women's shelter. The actress has since begun performing community service at the morgue and the judge ordered Lohan to complete the remainder of her hours there or risk serving at additional 270 days in jail.

Judge Sautner revoked Lohan's probation two weeks ago after the actress was terminated from her community service at the women's shelter. The judge said on Wednesday that the women's shelter had been contacted about accepting Lohan back, but the facility declined. Lohan was also ordered to attend psychotherapy appointments she's missed in the past.

The star remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case and a misdemeanor theft case.
