'The Insider' Gives Back to U.S. Troops
November 06, 2011
The Insider's Brooke Anderson rolled up her sleeves and went to work in support of our troops during the Operation Gratitude event on Sunday.
Hundreds of thousands of boxes were packed in the Van Nuys Armory in Southern California's San Fernando Valley -- some of them by Brooke herself.
"I'm blown away by the turnout," Brooke gushed. "There are countless people here -- a lot of them kids from high school who want to give back. ... It's very heartwarming to see so many people who really care."
Brooke went on to encourage others to join in on the giving trend, saying, "I challenge everybody to get involved with Operation Gratitude. It's an excellent way to give back to our troops."
President of CBS Television Distribution John Nogawski and The Insider executive producer Linda Bell Blue also came out in support of the event.
