Corporal Kelsey DeSantis gushed about her weekend date with Justin Timberlake at the Marine Corps Ball and said the best part of the night was seeing the big smile on his face.

DeSantis told the Today show's Ann Curry that having Justin accompany her to Saturday night's event in Richmond, VA was something she'll never forget. "The whole night was extremely ... bringing sexy back, I guess you could say. We were on the dance floor and had a good time at the table joking and laughing, so it was altogether really great."

She said it was obvious that Justin enjoyed the date as well. "The sweetest moment definitely was right after the ceremony ended and being able to see his face as well as everyone else's face. He had a smile on his face, you could see he genuinely cared about what he saw."

The U.S. Marine made a videotape of herself earlier this year while on deployment asking the Sexy Back singer to be his date and Justin enthusiastically accepted.

In a post on his blog, Justin called the experience "one of the most moving evenings I've ever had." The In Time star said he was "truly moved" by a special tribute to U.S. Marines and thoroughly enjoyed the entire night. "I have to say that I had so much fun with Kelsey and her crew of friends. They were just really nice people... Classy Marines but, not without a great sense of humor. Real individuals but, not without a sense of community."
