Hanson, the boy band behind 1997's nauseating MMMBop, is producing another gem that promises to make you sick after too much exposure: MMMHop beer!

While speaking at Oxford University on Monday night, Zac Hanson said, "We of course make records, they are fundamental to what we do, but we wanted to create a brand so that our fans have a greater experience."

The Indian Pale Ale, which is slated for release in early 2012, is named after the band's biggest (read: only) hit and aims to avoid delving into slightly more questionable Hanson merchandising.

"What is vital is that Hanson merchandise is quality and not made solely with the purpose of profit. We have a board game and even a record player to play our last record on, but we will never make dolls, lunch boxes or toothbrushes that play our songs for example. It's vital our fans have trust in everything Hanson do."

I'm all for this idea -- in fact, I'd love to see more 90s pop stars branding booze based on their hit songs. Let's cheers to:

Britney Spears' You Drive Mead Crazy
Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pilsner
Backstreet Boys' Lager Than Life
Sir Mix-A-Lot's Baby Got Bock
TLC's Porter-falls
N Sync's Stout Cowboy
