Harry Shum Jr. Does Something
Everyone from The Jonas Brothers to Kristen Bell has partnered up with DoSomething.org since Andrew Shue (yes, Billy from Melrose Place) founded it in 1993. And now, the organization -- that strives to create a culture of volunteerism and activism through social change among young people -- can add two more names to its celebrity friends list: Justin Long and Glee's Harry Shum, Jr.
Over the weekend, both boys participated by surprising two lucky high school students -- Justin went to Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, NY to pick up Alexandra Capellini in front of 500 of her fellow classmates. After the big reveal, Justin took Alexandra to Woodruff Family Residents to talk to youth at the local homeless shelter and donated jeans.
For his part, Harry knocked on the door of self-proclaimed Gleek Jennifer Ascencio. Once the shock wore off, they visited Leffingwell Manor to share their tech know-how with seniors in their community. And as you can see in this exclusive picture, smiles were free that day!
