Usher Gives Away Grammy
By ROBERT PACE
December 07, 2011
Usher gave his good friend the ultimate gift over the weekend: A Grammy.
The singer hosted a party for singer-songwriter Rico Love over the
weekend in Miami, and presented him with the very special present,
according to Page Six.
They report that during Love's birthday party dinner Usher surprised
everyone by standing up and asking, "What do you buy or give someone that can buy or give himself anything?"
Usher then reached into a black leather bag and said, "I wanted to be the first person to present him with something out of the ordinary" and presented Love with his Grammy for There Goes My Baby.
Love wrote and co-produced the song in 2010 and has worked frequently with former Destiny’s Child stars Beyonce, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowand since 2007.
Usher won't miss the Grammy too much since he's won six other Grammys in addition to four World Music Awards, six American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Music Awards, and twenty-two Billboard Music Awards.
