He stars along with Charlize Theron in the quirky new dark comedy Young Adult and has been entertaining fans for years with his many TV appearances and stand-up comedy act. Here are five things you probably don't know about Patton Oswalt.
1. Born on January 27, 1969 in Portsmouth, VA. His father was an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps so he moved around a lot throughout his childhood.
2. Graduated from William and Mary in Virginia with a degree in English.
3. One of his first TV roles came in 1994 when he played a determined movie store clerk in an episode of Seinfeld. If you recall, his character was the guy who refused to tell George who had rented the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.
4. Writes comic books and has pitched several ideas to DC Comics.
5. Was considered for the role of Albert Brennaman in Will Smith's 2005 film Hitch, but the part ended up going to Kevin James.
