The star of MTV's first Teen Mom series was arrested Monday in Indiana for violating her probation, according to US Weekly.

Amber's brother Shawn tells US that his sister was arrested after "probation officers visited Amber for a random drug test at her house and they found pills in her purse that she did not have a prescription for." Shawn tells US that his sister told authorities that she'd previously been prescribed the medication. Amber is on probation after pleading guilty to domestic battery related to a 2010 incident with her daughter's father Gary Shirley.

Shawn told US that she also "missed a court hearing" and "that is why she was jailed this time around."

According to US, a "distraught" Amber is expected to spend the holidays in jail, having a court date January 13.
