As Wizards of Waverly Place is set to air its final episode this Friday, Selena Gomez reflects on the show that shot the 19-yr-old into super-stardom, and the sometimes unfortunate price of her tremendous fame.

Each day brings a new round of invasive paparazzi shots featuring Selena with her equally famous boyfriend Justin Bieber, so it can be assumed those pesky photographers hound Gomez every minute of the day. Selena says it is definitely "awkward," but the media attention doesn't bother her at all.

"Obviously it's not normal, but I don't really pay attention to it," she admits. "It's not as crazy as people would want to think. It's fine. I get to be normal, I get to hang out, and I got to go home for a little bit … I just get away from it and don't focus on it at all."

One secret she does confess to keeping her sane is never giving in to the lure of gossip magazines and blogs. "I can't," she says. "Luckily, I don't see any of those."
