Jason Segel Goes Out with Fan

Chelsea Gill has quite the story to tell her grandchildren one day about how she scored a date with movie star Jason Segel.

In the midst of loneliness from being away from her twin sister, Gill was spending her free afternoons watching movies last week.

"I was having a harder day and I was watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I had my guitar with me and I was strumming along and I just started singing," Gill recounted to The Huffington Post.

"I just started writing it. I wrote a little silly song -- it took me a half-hour to write. It was mostly just for my friends. I never thought in a million years that (Jason Segel) would see it."

Gill then posted the video online after her friends insisted she do so. To her surprise, not only did Jason Segel see the video but also linked to it on his Twitter page, writing that it was his "favorite thing, maybe ever."

The 23-year-old aspiring actress' luck didn't end there, as Segel then asked Gill to accompany him to the Chicago Film Critic Awards show.

"We talked about my video and he was just really flattered and he really loved it, which, of course, sent me over the moon," she said of her date with Segel. "He's so down to earth, he was so funny—he's absolutely everything he appears to be in interviews."

Segel's date with Gill comes a few months after Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake attended a November Marine Corps ball after they accepted Youtube invitations from Marines to escort them to the ball.

"He's this busy guy doing his own thing and I'm so humble and touched that he would take time out of his busy schedule just to get a drink with me," Gill said appreciatively.
