Amid prepping for Super Bowl XLVI with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady took some time off of the practice field to make an appearance at an event for Best Buddies, an organization comprised of volunteers dedicated to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

"My first opportunity to be involved was when I first got here with the Patriots," Brady said with his arm around buddy Chris Harrington. "Once you feel the commitment that so many parents make and so many of the buddies make to these programs, it's hard not to be involved."

Brady will host an annual football challenge for Best Buddies in June that gives the buddies a chance to be active as well as meet Brady and other celebrities.

"It's huge to have Tom Brady," founder Anthony Shriver said. "To have someone of his stature and celebrity and his athletic talent to pay attention to our population is really unheard of in today's day and age."
