It was an emotional reunion on Wednesday for former The View hosts Meredith Viera and Debbie Matenopoulos, who sat down in New York 13 years after working together on the show.

It was as if no time had passed. Debbie, now a special correspondent for The Insider, conducted an interview with Meredith, now a special correspondent for NBC News, about her exclusive chat with former White House intern Mimi Alford, who claims to have begun an affair with President John F. Kennedy when she was 19 years old.

Alford opens up to Meredith about the affair, which the former intern says ironically became possible when a secretary of Jacqueline Kennedy invited Alford to come to the White House while she was working on a story about first lady for her prep school newspaper. The former intern said during that visit she first met JFK.

Meredith said Alford's story seems very credible, but ultimately it will be up to viewers to decide for themselves whether she is telling the truth. "You have to go based on her word, essentially -- although you can track down certain trips (to the White House) and know that she was there at certain times. But then it comes down to whether or not you believe her -- and you be the judge."

Meredith's interview can be seen during her debut on the NBC news show Rock Center with Brian Williams, tonight at 9 p.m.

Watch the video for more on the intern's revelations and also to hear Meredith's feelings on Gisele Bundchen's post-Super Bowl comments -- captured exclusively by The Insider -- which supported her husband Tom Brady but criticized the performance of other players on his team.
