Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party had a dark shadow cast over it as Whitney Houston had died, mere hours before, four stories above the Beverly Hilton ballroom, where last night's party carried on.

Whitney "would have wanted the music to go on," Clive told the crowd before countless artists took to the stage and performed tributes to the late, great pop diva. "She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music," Davis continued before adding that Houston's family requested that the party continue.
