Kelly Price, who performed alongside Whitney Houston during the music icon's last live performance, told The Insider that the evening was a "genuine happy time."
Whitney joined her friend Kelly on the stage and sang Jesus Loves Me at Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love Of R&B Grammy Party at Tru Hollywood on Thursday night, and Kelly told The Insider's Kevin Frazier on the Grammys red carpet, "It was just a great moment between two friends that I didn't expect to happen, because she was just there to kinda hang out and celebrate that night, and she decided she wanted to get on the stage."

"In hindsight, it is one of the greatest moments of my life, and I'm so grateful for that moment, because I'll forever have that," Kelly added.
In response to photos taken that night depicting Whitney looking disheveled, Kelly told Kevin, "What they saw when she left was somebody that danced so hard that sweated their weave out. They saw somebody that danced so hard that she was sweaty. It was time to go home. I left the club at 3:30 in the morning, my hair was a mess, my makeup was running, there was nothing else to speak of."
Kelly explained that despite her somewhat unkempt appearance at the end of the night, Whitney enjoyed the evening: "She had a good time, she drank champagne, she toasted my Grammy nomination, she told me she loved me, she told me she was proud of me. I want to go on record and let everybody know, it was a genuine happy time."
"I'm overjoyed to say it because that's the way I get to remember her. It would have been very hurtful if this happened and the last time I saw her, she wasn't doing well, but that's not the case. She was doing very well, very well," Kelly emphasized.
