Kirstie Alley turned out to be a fierce competitor during Dancing with the Stars, but she's now taking on a much different role -- a purple winged fairy -- in a commercial for an incontinence product.

Kirstie said she couldn't resist playing a fluttering fairy for Poise, a line of products designed to help women prevent light bladder leakage (LBL). "When they explained to me I was going to have mechanical wings, I was in," she told The Insider.

The Veronica's Closet star said she must truly believe in a product to give her endorsement and in this case she realized about half of friends she surveyed identified LBL as a problem. "It's about taking the stigma off of it, I knew I could do that. And I knew that if I had LBL, I would want this product."

Kirstie also reveals some of her weight loss tips that allowed her to shed a whopping 83 pounds last year and keep the weight off.
