Who knew the Queen could be so sexy!? Apparently a relative of Kate Middleton’s does! Kate Middleton’s second cousin, Katrina Darling, is an English burlesque dancer renowned for her God Save the Queen act which ends with her wearing nothing but a smile, red tassels and a barely-there thong. Classy! Before making her New York burlesque debut, the 21-year-old burlesque dancer, who has been taking it off since two weeks after her 18th birthday, sat down with The Insider at Yotel in New York to get the royal treatment.

In the interview, Katrina explains that, "I am related to her as a second cousin. My dad’s mother and Kate’s great grandfather were brother and sister. So that’s where the connection is … I was totally oblivious to it until the press informed me."

Before Katrina even realized her royal connection she had been doing her routine to the Sex Pistols’ God Save the Queen for over a year and a half. Upon finding out that she was related to Prince William’s future wife, she was pleasantly surprised, and has referred to the news as, "happiest coincidence ever." Subsequently, the press ignited a frenzy when they found out that Kate Middleton had a connection to a burlesque dancer. Now Katrina performs the rockin’ royal routine all over and is hoping to work on a lingerie line. When not shaking her moneymaker, the dancer works for Barclays Bank in London.

As for the royal family’s thoughts on her dancing? "When I first found out I called the press office at the palace and I was like 'look Daily Mail is going to run this story without my permission, whether I like it or you like or not, is there any sort of damage control, or [a way] to protect my family or anything – if they are going to do it, they are going to do it. Just handle it how you want.' "
