We take a journey back to this day in 2000 for a behind-the-scenes look at the film, which also starred Antonio Banderas, and an interview with Jolie in which she talks about the film's wedding, which then segues into her general thoughts on marriage.

"When I was married it was…just fun and simple and not friends…It made me feel like I've never really been married," Jolie says, referencing her marriage to her first husband Jonny Lee Miller. "I always felt that I'm one of those brides, if I marry the man I want, I would be running down the aisle."

Perhaps Jolie was foreshadowing her future when she made reference to "running down the aisle," as she was married to Billy Bob Thornton in Las Vegas a few months after this flashback.

On the precipice of her first Academy Awards, the then 24-year-old actress reveals that unlike her most-recent Oscar dress, she didn't put too much thought into what she would be wearing to the awards show and remained focused on more pertinent issues.

"I'm really doing everything I can not to think about it," Jolie states. "There's something else in my life that's making me happy and…my priorities are in order. I know what's really important."

Angelina Keeps Her Leg Under Cover

Dressed to impress or not, Jolie won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Girl, Interrupted. She also won a Golden Globe and SAG Award for her performance in the film, which is her most awarded film to date.
