According to Sir Richard Branson, who announced an A-List Guest List on his website yesterday, Ashton is just one of the stars who has reserved a slot on his Virgin Galactic spacecraft, which has a TBD launch date since the ship is still in testing phases.

Joining Ashton on the "We Have Too Much Money Spacecraft" is author Stephen Hawking (who is totally gonna pull a Contact, no?). Reportedly Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Katy Perry, Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Tom Hanks have all also purchased tickets on the flight, which will launch them 50,000 feet into space where they will get a zero-gravity ride and see Earth from a vantage point few others have experienced.

And how much did the stars splurge for this space jaunt? $200,000!
