On Tuesday's episode of Anderson, The Little Couple stars Bill Klein and Jen Arnold talk to famed newsman Anderson Cooper about their outrage over "dwarf tossing" and a Florida representative’s attempts at overturning a ban on it.

In October 2011, Ritch Workman, a Republican politician who serves as a representative in Florida's House of Representatives, introduced legislation to overturn the 1989 ban on dwarf tossing, in order to boost revenue to the struggling Florida economy.

In the sit-down, Jen explains that "dwarf tossing" is, "a horrible thing that some people call a sport. It's not a sport. It's basically, where in a bar, if you are partaking of libations, adult beverages, a little person agrees to put a hat on them, a helmet for safety and some padding and they are thrown as far as they possibly can just because they are a little person. As you can imagine, that's not a very safe activity."

Uh yeah, that's definitely not safe! But it's clearly terrible and exploitative! I have no clue why any little person would volunteer to be thrown. As sad as it is, there will always be people who are easily taken advantage of, and who don’t have the self esteem or the wherewithal to say "no" to manipulative people. That's not the point. The point is for the government not to condone such a destructive practice. How do people think this is a cool thing to do?! Like bum fights, "dwarf bowling" or naked pillow fights at all-girl sleepovers, I thought "dwarf tossing" was just an urban legend perpetuated by bong-hitting high school kids – and never really happened other than in the imaginations of Mad Dog 20/20-swigging teenage boys.

Let's just hope Ritch Workman does not have his way – because this "sport" is just sick and not funny at all. So to all you heartless dwarf-tossing bar patrons reading this: put the little person down and pick up a dart instead. Your karma will thank you.
