As Dancing with the Stars kicked off its fourteenth season on Monday, last year's mirror ball trophy champion J.R. Martinez has another exciting event to look forward to in his life with the upcoming birth of his first child.

The Insider sat down with Martinez and girlfriend Diana Jones during their baby shower to see how they are preparing for parenthood and how that compared to preparing for Dancing with the Stars for J.R.

J.R. Martinez Expecting First Child

Martinez assessed that parenthood is shaping up to be more challenging than learning dance moves, as he pointed out that communication with his dancing partner Karina was much easier than communication with the baby in its infant years.

"I think changing diapers is probably going to be the biggest obstacle I'm going to have," Martinez said. "But I think it's going to be easy…People have done it for years and years and years. You just learn how to do it and put a little extra powder on the butt and keep it moving."

While, the couple is keeping their soon-to-be-born child's name a secret, the two had some fun responses to potential names that The Insider prompted them with.
