Seacrest 'Deeply Saddened' by Clark's Death

Ryan Seacrest tweeted his reaction to the sudden death of entertainment icon Dick Clark today, writing, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."

Of course, Ryan was especially close with "the world's oldest teenager," co-hosting Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve ever since December 31, 2005 and ringing in the New Year with Dick annually following the icon's debilitating stroke, which he fearlessly rebounded from with a return to New Year's Rockin' Eve in 2006.

Clark died this morning of a massive heart attack. He was 82.
