Last week the world was introduced to Meow, a shelter cat who tipped the scales at a whopping 39 pounds. Meow made the media rounds with vet Dr. Jennifer Steketee by his side in an effort to find a responsible new owner for the hefty two-year-old feline.

Now, none other than The Voice pop star Cee Lo is weighing in on the remarkable "fattest cat in America" with a challenge: Can he drop down to 30 pounds? Watch the video!

"Well first thing first, lay off the hotdogs," says Cee Lo.

A reported steady diet of wieners is being blamed for the orange-and-white Tabby's girth, who must reach a goal weight of 30 pounds before he can officially be listed for adoption. Now he's on a low-carb "catkins" diet, and the pounds are starting to come off.
