In the spot, time is frozen when two Pepsi cans are opened at the same time. The guy and girl who opened those cans go on a worldwide journey taking the viewers through some amazing moments in history.

Nicki's hit single Moment 4 Life provides the soundtrack for the commercial and she revealed her inspiration for the song and what the lyrics mean to her.

The words of music producer and close friend Irv Gotti planted the seed for the song, Nicki revealed, explaining that they had an intimate conversation soon after she began to blow up in the spotlight.

Irv stressed to Nicki that she will never be the "new girl on the scene" again so she should enjoy the moment while it lasts.

Out of all the music superstars to have starred in a Pepsi ad, Nicki admits that Beyonce was "probably most influenced by the Beyonce commercial."

"I felt like: This is a young black girl early on in her career and she's doing something so iconic. And I never thought in a billion years that Pepsi would reach out to someone like me," said Nicki.
