When Mother Monster dropped the individuality anthem in 2011, everyone was quick to point out the musical and lyrical similarities between Born This Way and Madge's 1989 classic, Express Yourself. Various mash-ups drove home the point and in January 2012 Madonna addressed the issue for the first time, telling Newsweek, "I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song. I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was … interesting."

Now Madonna is taking things one step further by adding in a Born This Way section to her Express Yourself set, as you can see in this leaked footage from her tour rehearsals. And the whole thing is capped off as Madonna ends the song by looping in a snippet from a song off her 2008 album Hard Candy, singing "She's not me ... she's not me ... she's not me."
