According to the Fringe star, labels just aren't important to the super-solid couple.

"Neither of us is religious, and the picket fence isn't what we're aiming at," he tells Life & Style. "We're together for six years now, so for all intents and purposes, we are [married]. I have no need for a priest to tell me that!"

"Just make sure you put the work in," Diane says about the secret to their lasting love. "I'm keeping my fingers crossed and knocking on wood each day!"

And clearly, Josh is more than putting the work in -- he recently created a stir in Cannes by winning Diane a diamond necklace by designer Carla Amorim with a bid of $45,000.
