Gillian Jacobs' Advice to Lonely Teen Girls
By RAPHAEL CHESTANG
June 06, 2012
Fans of Community might be glad to know that Gillian Jacobs isn't all that different from her fictional, feminist TV character Britta.

In a new video, the actress answers personal questions from lonely teen girls, giving advice on making friends and improving their appearance while still staying true to themselves.
Gillian admits that she, too, was lonely in high school and didn't have much of a social life until later in life.
"High school will be over before you know it and then you'll meet cooler, better friends, which is what happened to me," said Gillian.

The 29-year-old went on to urge another fan to hold on to some of the characteristics that might currently make her somewhat of a pariah, saying, "It's awesome that you're a nerd girl, and don't try and not be a nerd girl, because everything that makes you feel alone right now in high school is what's going to make you and awesome, interesting adult."
Gillian's cult comedy hit Community returns to NBC this fall on a new night (Fridays) at 8:30 p.m.
