Quoted by German newspaper Welt, Heidenreich expressed regret for his company's choice of the sexy, party-girl songstress in the 2011 campaign, arguing that Rihanna should have been a "no go" in the first place for the beauty line and its values.
"I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna," he explained. "Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability."
