On August 4, Joe Simpson was arrested in LA for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor charge, TheInsider.com has confirmed.

Arrested at 10:15 p.m., LAPD Traffic Division officers deemed Simpson intoxicated and threw him behind bars for the night at Valley Jail in Van Nuys. He was released at 9:41 a.m. the next morning after being held on $5,000 bail.
No follow-up court date has been set yet.
