The musical genes clearly run in the family, as Katy Perry's younger brother, David Hudson, is building a name for himself with a new EP available now on iTunes and an upcoming tour.

But in his first solo interview, Hudson talks more about his charity work he's heavily involved in.

"My heart is on the music and acting, but everything I do I want to do with a philanthropic twist," he says. "I want to take everything I do and benefit people in need all around the world, and not just through finances, but I want people to volunteer their time -- I want people to get involved with me."

Hudson is the Special Events Director of Red Eye, Inc., a Los Angeles charity.
