Less than a year into dating Muse rocker Matthew Bellamy, Kate Hudson became pregnant-- a shocker the actress let her movie-star mom confirm to the world on her behalf.
"I'm excited! It's exciting," she told Us Weekly. "You know, we're just all very happy ... happy for them both. What's more to say?"
A short time later, Hudson started showing off a brand-new diamond on her ring finger. The Today show was first to capture the multi-karat rock on film.
Kate gave birth to a baby boy named Bingham in July 2011.
