Jessica Simpson's Baby Weight Not All Baby
Jessica Simpson is dropping her pregnancy pounds with the help of Weight Watchers, and she explained to USA Today why she enlisted the help of the program for taking on the task.
"I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it," says the singer, 32, who gave birth to her daughter Maxwell on May 1. "I wanted to be happy and eat what I wanted ... I didn't realize [the weight] didn't all come off with the baby."
Jessica is on the Weight Watchers program with 13 of her friends and family. She won't reveal how much she's lost on the program, but collectively her group has lost 160 pounds so far.
The new mom has also added 60-minute cardio exercises to her weight-loss regimen, which she does daily, but don't expect to see her running a marathon anytime soon.
"My boobs are way too big to run at this point. I'm just walking," Jessica said.
But she's not walking alone. Jessica revealed that her fiance, former NFL tight end Eric Johnson, keeps her company.
"I have his support but not pressure," said Jessica. "The fact that he loves me the way I am right now -- we're set. He knows I want to feel better in my skin."
Weight Watchers will begin running ads featuring Jessica next week.
