History repeats itself. Embattled actress Lindsay Lohan was reportedly arrested early Wednesday morning after she hit a pedestrian with her Porsche, police told the New York Daily News.

A source on the scene says the Mean Girls star, 26, was attempting to leave the Dream Downtown, a hotel nightclub in New York's Meatpacking District, but was forced to swerve around a crowd of people.

Though the source says Lohan was driving slow to avoid hitting pedestrians, she did brush up against a male in the crowd, who then called the police.

The incident reportedly occurred around 12:30 a.m., and Lohan went back into the club. She was later arrested around 2:30 a.m., booked for leaving the scene of an accident and issued a desk appearance ticket.

According to NY Daily News, the man who she allegedly hit was taken to the hospital for a knee injury.

UPDATE: TheInsider.com received the following statement from Lohan's publicist regarding the incident: "While some of the facts are still being gathered, it appears that this is much ado about nothing. We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue."
