You may have thought that Miley Cyrus' new haircut was the chop heard around the world – but it appears as though one person missed out. Over the weekend at the oh-so-epic iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas, Public Enemy party boy Flavor Flav had quite the awkward run in with popstar/actress/super-deep-person-who-is-deeper than normal people Miley. And it was all caught on camera. Oh my lucky stars!

While at the concert, the former Surreal Life star spotted the newly platinum star backstage, excitedly came up to meet her and the unlikely Miley superfan even got a photo with the singer. After hugs and goodbyes, Flavor Flav beamed about meeting “Gwen Stefani!” -- only to be told moments later by a member of his entourage that he had mistaken the former teen queen for the No Doubt tow-headed front woman.

Of course Flavor Flav, whose brain is clearly not addled by years of drug use and is very quick on the uptake said, "That's Miley? I know that's not Hannah Montana. Y’all stupid!” Lucky for all of us he came to his senses with his super smarts, realized his embarrassing gaffe and apologized to Miley, who seemed to have been unaware of the mixup during the encounter. So yes music fans, all is right in the world again. Phew.

Let’s just be glad that Mr. The Flav wasn’t so out of it he copped a feel, confusing Miley for his former love muffin, Brigitte Nielsen. Just another downside of Miley’s infamous ‘do!
