Hey Madonna are you trying to hurt or help Obama? 'Cause right now I just can't tell. While on the Washington D.C. leg of her MDNA tour on Monday night, the always controversial Madonna decided to add some fuel to the current political fire by adding her two cents to the 2012 election, telling the crowd to vote for President Barack Obama, "the black Muslim in the White House." How is saying that helpful? Maybe next time try helping Obama over a cliff. Someone needs to tell Madge that she should keep those incendiary thoughts and that fake British accent to herself. And I'm just the person to do it! Hey Madonna, just sing Like a Prayer and get off the damn stage!

During Monday night's concert Madonna opted to preach to the crowd about the upcoming election: "Y'all better vote for f*cking Obama, okay? For better or for worse, all right? We have a black Muslim in the White House. Now that's some amazing sh*t." She continued, "It means there is hope in this country. And Obama is fighting for gay rights, so support the man, godd*mnit."

Great. Just great. Thanks Material Girl. There are a lot of flaws in this statement.  First off, Madonna is wrong. Obama isn't a Muslim (not that there is anything wrong with that) -- he is Christian. The President has both written and spoken extensively about his Christian faith. Religion is a very hot-button and sensitive issue in America and certainly in the presidential race -- so her remarks mislabeling him is pretty inflammatory. And secondly, what Democrats don't need right now is what happened in the last election: more rumors once again questioning Obama's religion and birthplace. Madonna, your comments are just so 2008! Why don't you just knock it out of the park and make a "Barack Osama" joke?

While Madonna may have been joking -- her comments could be costly. Madonna is clearly an Obama supporter, but those who are uninformed as well as the conservative media may take her words seriously and use them as a weapon. Her plan to "aid" Obama's fight against Mitt Romney could easily backfire. So great work Madonna! Maybe you should do a cover of Sabotage at your next show? I'm sure it would be better than anything you had on your mediocre last album.

Madonna thanks for the "help." But why don't you stick to giving middle-aged divorcees hope and packing your current boytoy's lunch.
