Taylor Swift recently gave a revealing interview for the November cover of Glamour magazine (out October 9), where she surprisingly opens up about sensitive topics like being misunderstood, John Mayer's biting Rolling Stone diss, and her very public new relationship with Conor Kennedy.

On her distinctly teenage public image, Taylor makes it perfectly clear that she's aware of her (sometimes) annoying overly sweet/girly public persona.

"I think some people think it's just apple pie and sunshine and sprinkles and ponies. Which is just funny," she says bluntly.

Though don't expect her to go full-on K Stew anytime soon -- turns out she does have a sense of humor about the critiques.

"But I never feel the need to go out and make some grand statement that I'm dark and twisty and complicated, because I'm not that either. It's just not as simple as ponies and rainbows, though I do love ponies and rainbows," she jokes.

But Taylor does show a bit of immaturity during the interview, when she refuses to hear John Mayer's harsh Rolling Stone comments criticizing her for writing Dear John -- a breakup tune obviously written about their brief relationship.

In the June interview, John calls the song "cheap songwriting," and calls her out for "humiliating" him.

"How presumptuous! I never disclose who my songs are about," Taylor says about John's confirmation that the song is in fact about him.

She then does the equivalent of closing her ears with her hands when the interviewer tries to further discuss his comments.

"No! I don't want to know, I don't want to know," she interrupts. "I know it wasn't good, so I don't want to know. I put a high priority on staying happy, and I know what I can't handle."

As for her eyebrow-raising relationship with 18-year-old Conor Kennedy, don't expect her to start dishing anytime soon ... though of course, you might just find a reference to him in a song someday.

"I don't talk about my personal life in great detail. I write about it in my songs, and I feel like you can share enough about your life in your music to let people know what you're going through," she says.

Taylor seems to be in a revealing mood lately, as she also admitted to getting cheated on in a brand-new interview with Marie Claire UK.

"It's not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it," she says about using her past relationships as future songwriting fodder.

Hmmm.... any guesses on which of her celebrity boyfriends this could be?
